Saturday, June 16th was a beautiful day in more ways than one. It started out with sunny skies, but gradually changed to clouds. But, no matter! It was Tom & Yuliya's wedding day.
I had met Tom over 10 years ago when I did his HS Senior portrait, so being part of his wedding was extra special for me. The shy boy has become a generous and confident young man with absolutely no inhibitions about showing his affection for his lovely bride. Yuliya is originally from Belarus, but has been in the US for about 6 years. I had the pleasure of meeting her in May for the first time. Her shy demeanor is belied by her wicked sense of humor, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her. Yuliya is truly beautiful inside and out.
We headed to Dowses Beach in Osterville for the beach ceremony, but Mother Nature did not cooperate. The decision was made to move the ceremony to the reception location, so the guests and family made their way to Harbor Point. I insisted that we wait just a few more minutes to see if the rain would stop. After a brief rain shower, we had the perfect soft light for the bridal portraits. A little wind added some fun to the experience. It was chilly, but the wedding party were steadfast in their cooperation.
Overall the day was filled with laughter and joy. It was a pleasure to be involved. Congratulations to the adorable couple!
